Cycling Shoes For Wide Feet Cycling Shoes for Women I need some advice from experienced vets you there in respect of different brands of cycling shoes and fit. I have fairly wide feet and need a shoe with a high toe box, and I'm finding that most cycling shoes are pretty close to the front with little height in the foot box. I ride a hybrid with SPD pedals, so I'm looking for a new mountain or general purpose shoe style, not a shoe right path, and need ideas on which brands of shoes would probably be more accommodative my duck feet like? I tried on a shoe that Cannondale was on clearance in store performance, and for a woman's shoe-specific, it seems very spacious, but had at least one size too big. I do bike fitting for a bike shop and spend much time on choosing the right shoe. Have you tried eBay? (Sporting subcategory CYCLING-shoes and clothing) There are also shoes available from Blue Sky Cycling] www.blueskycycling.com [, Price Point www.pricepoint.com [] and Cambria Wheels (cambriabike.com). One thing to remember is that cycling shoes only work if they are tight. If your feet move in the shoe and then you lose power when you're pedaling. For normal cycling shoes I take a wide fitting, but for cycling shoes that I wear a standard shoe and just adjust the straps so it is not too tight. Remember, you will not walk long distances in them so they should not be too comfortable. If they do pinch a bit to try to wear socks with some padding. Posted on March 28, 2010.
