Danner 453

Danner 453Using the argument Obama administration, what is to stop the Govt. mandating that we buy green products?

The argument of the Department of Justice uses to defend this bill is oddly similar to the way they defend their ability to wage war on the U.S. Federal Drug (another overreach by the federal govt. In private life U.S. citizens, based on a dubious interpretation of the commerce clause)

Apparently this interpretation essentially gives the federal govt. unlimited power as they think it's for the common good. (So, I think we can go ahead and remove the 10th amendment because it is essentially null and void right now .......) mandates [auto insurance are made at the States are not all ...... State ed]

So what if the Fed decided not to buy green products is affecting adversely the health of other persons and mandates that you buy environmentally friendly products or face a tax penalty?? It would be a perfect consistency with the argument of the Department of Justice would not it??

Those unwilling to take insurance will be hit with a tax penalty, although there are exceptions in cases of financial hardship and religious reasons. Businesses will also be required to contribute to the cost of health insurance for their workers, but businesses with fewer than 50 employees are exempt.

The administration argues that Obama is the coverage requirements on a firm constitutional basis: the power of Congress to regulate interstate commerce.

But critics say the government does not give the right to direct individuals to purchase a good or a service.

The new law allows the government to "regulate you just because you exist," said Danner. "If you can resolve this, when do you stop? Do you tell people:" We're going to mandate this year everybody? "We believe this is an overreach by the government. It goes too far and threatens individual liberty. "

The administration counters that the decision to withdraw from the health insurance is not just a matter of personal choice. It has consequences for others, because the uninsured are sick or have accidents, and someone must pay for their care, they can not afford it.

'The individual decisions to forego insurance coverage, in general, to substantially affect interstate commerce through the transfer of costs to health care providers and the public, Ministry of Justice said this week in legal documents filed in a similar trial in Michigan.

Given your logic, what is preventing them from mandatory, we all wear purple? Oh no! Another thing to worry about and blame on Obama!

I got news for you ... The federal government already provides tax credits to people who buy "green" products. This includes Prius, computers, energy-efficient LEED materials, and so on. Were you not aware of this, or you're just trying to be sarcastic?

Finally, someone who actually delivers the right direction. People keep talking about it, but you're one of the first I've seen on YA at least, who actually uses.

Loved how you threw the bit about auto insurance is on a state level because people are always trying to use to defend their cause .... the other side.
