Retro Glam & Collegiate Charm: Two looks for fall

There are two looks - Retro Glam and Collegiate Charm - that seem to be the benchmark of Fall trends of each year. Slight variations like plaid, bubble skirts, short boots, boots, colored tights, black tights and others that enhance the looks basic.



Here's what to look for when shopping for a retro glam or collegiate charm Search:

• To dress retro glam, do not be afraid to wear vintage cuts in new and unexpected. If a print is a bit too old for you, the dress, skirt or blouse altered into a more modern form. On the other hand, if the cut of the item is very vintage, pair it with modern accessories to avoid a costumed appearance.
  
• The jewelry is the key to a retro glam look. A little goes a long way, and try to mix what you wear so as not to appear to the right of the fat, for example. Pearls would be too with this look, so I paired the retro-fitting gown with a long string of string rock and roll.
  
• When it comes to retro glam, plus sunglasses, the better.
  
• Here's what to look for in shoes: a chunky heel (no stilettos), buckles, round-toes, vintage (gold, red, etc.) or neutral colors and styles from Mary-Jane or classical peep-toe pumps.
  
• A scarf completes the retro glam held. Tie it loose, or a more retro-flair flipping one end above your shoulders.
  
• For some coordination distinguished faith, the use of a clutch instead of your huge leather tote.
  
• A 50/60 style jacket completes the ensemble. A little boxiness is a must. Look for large buttons or a Peter Pan collar. With longer dresses / skirts, try a cropped jacket. If you're wearing something shorter on the bottom, then make sure your coat falls slightly above your hemline, but not too far.

1. Start with an interesting blouse. It may be longer, like a tunic, or a little shorter. Ruffles are preferred, but non-binding. An impression is good too, but a single color is easier to coordinate with accessories.
