Moosehide

I am a Canadian doing an Indian hand drum made of moose hide for a special ceremony. I cut cedar 1 / 2 "X 2 1 / 2" and want to make a frame 12 faces 12 "outside diameter. How long do I cut the planks and at what angle. Thanking you in advance for your help. (I'm 700 miles north of Vancouver, British Columbia)

The overall length of your advice will be about 7.8 inches, and the angle should be 75 degrees.

Before cutting into your timber, please make a model out of cardboard or paper to check your measurements!

outside dia.is 12 in the distance around the curcumference is apporx 381 / 2 in. divided by 12 is approximately 31 / 8 inch to 360 degrees divided by 12 is 30 degrees. so that each side of your cards must be cut to 15 degrees so that when you put two cards together, you have an angle of 30 degrees
