Penny Loafers

Penny LoafersPenny stocks: A Love Story

Dare I say, there are people who, despite all the rave reviews, can actually see her jump before (insert the names of the actors here) romantic comedy. It's a shame too ... because there were some romantic gems that have stood the test of time ... and are a historical snapshot.

For example, do not forget the 1970 classic tear jerks love affair with Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw. Who could forget the evil couple, Jenny Cavalleri in his penny loafers and Oliver Barrett IV in his wool sweater, walking on the Harvard campus to talk about their relationship.

Ultimately, Jenny is diagnosed with terminal when it is tested for pregnancy, and died in the arms of Oliver in hospital. In one of the final scenes before Oliver rides through the snow in Central Park, he mentions his late wife, "Love means never having to say you're sorry."

If only, you say, there was a tragic love story for the CEO tender heart on Wall Street. The kind of romantic film that sent financial analysts for their handkerchiefs monogrammed. A cinematic triumph that makes the average penny stock investor to get up and shout: "Somebody should do more than say they are sorry?"

The wait is almost over.

Michael Moore has announced the title of his latest controversy. Capitalism: A Love Story, focuses on "the global economic crisis, the controversial Wall Street rescue, and embezzlement of the company."

Presented as a tale of forbidden love, video cards romance unchaperoned that flourished on Wall Street, using characteristics of its kind to examine the causes of the global economic downturn.

"This will be the perfect date movie," he said. "That's all it takes - lust, love, romance and 14,000 jobs lost each day. It is a forbidden love, one that dares not speak its name. Heck, let's just say that: It is capitalism. "

According to Moore's new film is about "the disastrous impact that the reasons for the dominance of business and profits out of control on the lives of Americans and citizens around the world. But this time the culprit is much larger than General Motors, and the crime scene much larger than Flint, Michigan. "

While many peg the film as a diatribe on the left, in the end "Love Story" will be the kind that Moore's documentary shines, it will leave the audience divided on their interest and response to its content.

Of course, there will be an indictment of capitalism. Would you expect anything less from Moore? Conversely, do you really think Bill O'Reilly or Ann Coulter to give you an ear or a shoulder to cry sweet sensitive? We all play rolls, and these three fill their shoes perfectly.

However, not everyone or everything has followed the financial recession in the wake. There are a large number of penny stocks that were, thankfully, not the trend.

I know I mentioned recently that company, but Norsat International (NSATF - OTCBB) has published outstanding in the second quarter and current year's results. Revenues for the second quarter increased 23%, earnings increased 100%. The turnover of the first half of the year rose 43% and earnings for the first six months of 2009 were $ 1.1 million or $ 0.02 per share compared to net income of 0, $ 1 million or $ 0.00 per share for the same period in 2008.

"I am pleased with second quarter results, which showed a 23% increase in sales with another quarter of profitability despite the large foreign exchange loss caused by the rapid strengthening of the Canadian dollar relative to U.S. USA.
