Predator Power Serve

Predator Power ServeIs the U.S. military as a failure in Afghanistan?

I do not think that Afghanistan can never be measured in terms of success or failure of traditional. This problem began when the entire British established the Durand Line in the right Pashtun tribal regions. Thus, Afghanistan and Pakistan are countries that have a tribal nation in this country shares in both countries. Furthermore, Afghanistan has a foreign culture different from other Islamic nations is that tribal loyalty comes before the ethnic and national loyalties. The pariahs of these tribes are usually "volunteered" to serve in the Afghan army. Training Units Marine Corp. try to train and raise awareness of the importance of duty to their nation, but many of them simply do not. Then there are the Taliban and Al Qaeda. These two groups have been hammered hard and are paranoid as hell because of Predator strikes, special warfare ops, and covert intelligence missions.

The Taliban wants to return to power, and Al-Qaeda wants to kill Americans. Then there are the drug barons who are motivated by money. For a sense of "victory" in Afghanistan to occur, the tribes will need to recognize the sovereignty of the Afghan government, the Taliban will need to be beaten to the point where they can no longer be a viable alternative (and the Taliban did enough to piss off the Afghan people that this scenario is close to happening), Al-Qaeda must be moved out of the region, and drug barons lawless should be discontinued. Is that happening? I hope for the best, but they suspect that will not happen. The Taliban and Al Qaeda are using the tactic of losers, such as terrorism and roadside bombs - actions that are incapable of conquering land, the expulsion of enemy forces, or the achievement of any real military purpose other than a propaganda victory ephemeral. They are incapable of winning on the military, like the Iraqis and the Viet Cong before them were incapable of lasting victory over the army of the United States. But wars are not only win military battles, and our modern media have created an unrealistic goal for a victory that no other country could achieve with the exception of the United States. However, I do not even think the U.S. will achieve such a victory high confidence, because the people of Afghanistan themselves are not helping themselves.

I would tend to agree with your analysis. I think that Afghans are willing to help themselves, but they have no real national identity (a problem that also exists in Iraq) and not working at the national level, but continue their tribal system.

But I am just an instrument of foreign policy and not a framer of it.

Well - "confused"

This is not all about the United States in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is now under the control of ISAF is a multilateral organization under the control of NATO. Of course, NATO has agreed to the American generals in the command, because it began as the war and we can help. It is only fair that you clean your own mess.

Whatever does ISAF terrorists claim victory.
